The Composition Team @ Kaboom is a small group of student music makers that writes the pieces for every Kaboom production—students work with industry professionals and composition educators on video game soundtracks, animation scores, film scores, commercial music, studio albums, and more.

Composer + Arranger Team Leader 

Renowned composer Clint Needham‘s music, hailed as “wildly entertaining” by the New York Times, resonates globally. He collaborated with Akron Symphony as Knight Foundation Composer in Residence, and Albany Symphony as Mellon Composer/Educator in Residence. His orchestral pieces have graced stages like the Minnesota Orchestra and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Chamber groups worldwide have performed his work, from Europe to Australia. Awards include the International Barlow Prize. Needham is an Associate Professor at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music and his compositions are published by Theodore Presser Company. Kaboom Student Work

Composer + Arranger Team member Noah Horowitz arranged Crows Feet by The Accidentals in 2022. The Kaboom Studio Orchestra performed the piece at 8 venues across 4 states. His piece was also professionally recorded, mixed + mastered, and distributed on every major music streaming platform. His arrangement and recording also appears in the Crows Feet Music video.

The team worked together in 2021 to arrange the overture of Brave Snow, a new video game by Digital Owl. The piece was professionally recorded and published on streaming platforms and will be featured prominently in gameplay when the featured title is released on Nintendo and other platforms soon.

Where is Kaboom?

The Arrangers meet in Kaboom's online portal on Tuesday evenings from 7pm - 9pm.

What's included?

Tuition for the program is $725 and includes access to the portal, team instruction, one-on-one time with instructors and professional recordings if applicable.
