Violinist Diana Pepelea Vardi has performed with Cleveland Opera, Canton Symphony, CityMusic Cleveland, BlueWater Chamber Orchestra, Akron Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Sarasota Orchestra and Alarm Will Sound, among others.
As a concertmaster for Playhouse Square, Diana has performed on many different productions of varied music styles, from Broadway Shows to rock/pop concerts, video games and everything in between. She has played with Johnny Mathis, Josh Groban, Sara Bareilles, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublè, The Who, Tran-Siberian Orchestra, Olivia Newton-John, Barry Manilow, to name a few, as well as for numerous national touring Broadway Shows including The Lion King, Newsies, Aladdin, King and I, Anastasia, Cinderella, Phantom of the Opera and Hello Dolly. She has also performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony alongside Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra.
She has won many competitions in her native Romania and attended the Interlochen Arts Academy. Diana earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University. Her summer engagements include the Lake Placid Sinfonieta, Spoleto USA, Blossom Festival Orchestra, Festival Mozaic, Artosphere Festival and the National Repertory Orchestra.
Diana maintains a private teaching studio and has been on the faculty at the Interlochen Arts Camp, Laurel Academy, Bay Village Middle and High Schools, and CityMusic Kids.
