Stefan Podell is a composer and arranger for artists including Jason Mraz, Styx, Jon Anderson of YES, Kenny Loggins, Melissa Etheridge and Jefferson Starship. His work Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra was premiered by Maximillian Dimoff, principal bass of The Cleveland Orchestra and his Double Viola Concerto was premiered by Lynne Ramsay, associate principal viola of The Cleveland Orchestra and Jeffrey Irvine, viola department chair, The Cleveland Institute of Music. His work has been performed by professional orchestras and youth ensembles across the United States and around the world. In a past life, as a songwriter and guitarist, he won awards from Billboard Magazine and VH-1.
