Pam Kelly Cello Studio

Pamela Kelly earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Alan Harris. She studied Suzuki pedagogy with Carol Tarr, Tanya Carey, Nell Novak, Gilda Barston and Rick Mooney and participated in Irene Sharp’s cello pedagogy seminar at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music and attended the Aspen Festival.

Ms. Kelly’s students have performed with many orchestras including The Cleveland Orchestra, Apollo’s Fire, The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, the CIM Orchestra, Suburban Symphony, and The Firelands Symphony. Her students have won many competitions and honors and have been accepted into major schools of music including CIM, Northwestern University, The New England Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Peabody Conservatory of Music, Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, The University of Michigan and Ithaca College. She was awarded the Excellence in Teaching award from CIM in 2013 and the Studio/Private Teacher of the Year award from the Ohio Orchestra and String Teachers Association in 2004.
